Aquarium Tank
The Aquarium Tank is what you’ll see right before you enter the Aquarium. It boasts the credit of being the world’s largest suspended aquariums and holds 10-million-litres worth of water. 300 sharks and rays call this tank home which will give the visitors a teaser into what they will get to see in the aquarium inside. The Aquarium Tank is a famous spot for those Dubai Selfies you would want to take because you get to see it from the outside of the Aquarium for no cost. But the journey you will embark on inside will be much more than what the tank can offer!
Aquarium Tunnel
How does it feel to walk on the ocean beds as the variety of aquatic life that swims peacefully right above your heads? That was a rhetorical question. Because we both know it is going to be impressive! And if you’re lucky, you might even get to see divers feeding sharks and rays, bringing them closer to you than ever!
Underwater Zoo
Okay tunnel done, what next? If you take the escalator up to the 2nd floor, you will find the Underwater Zoo where there will be 40 displays of aquatic animals: from seahorses to crocodiles, in a mall! Pose for a photograph as you enter, with an underwater backdrop, making those pictures unique and almost a fantasy! If you proceed further, you will find that the Underwater Zoo splits into three zones: Rainforest, Rocky Shore, and Living Ocean.
1. Rocky Shore
A crucial step in the creation of life on Earth took place where the land meets the sea, which is now allowing you to traverse tough terrain, suitable only for the strongest of the survivors.
2. Rainforest
Tropical animals that live in a rainforest are much different than the animals you get to see in your lifetime? Find yourself walking through the banks of a riverbed that is home to the world’s most beautiful freshwater animals ever: cute otters to the dangerous piranha, everyone is here!
3. Living Ocean
The Living Ocean is exactly what it sounds like, finding displays of animals that dwell the deep sea. There are Sea Dragons, Sea Jellies, and some deadly fish waiting for you here!
ENCOUNTERS @ THE DUBAI AQUARIUM
Penguin Encounter: It’s Gentoo time! Meet the inhabitants of the Gentoo Penguins’ facility, home to 8 male and 8 female Gentoo Penguins!
King Croc Encounter: Two words. King Crocodile. Fear has never been this closer, weighing 750 kgs and measuring over 5 meters in length, this 40-year-old hunk of a beast comes all the way from Australia only for you to see!
Otter Encounter: A Cute family of Asian small-clawed otters for your cute family to meet! They are funny, naughty and most of all happy to be there. A behind-the-scenes tour of the Otter’s home is long due for you, where you can interact with the animals up close and personal!
Ray Encounter: Eagle Rays and Cow-nose rays call the Dubai Aquarium home! They are gentle and adorable that spend their lives traversing the waters for the fish in your hands (safety is promised, they don’t bite!).
Glass-bottom boat ride
A glass-bottom boat ride is the perfect family experience you would love to find in the Dubai Aquarium. A boat with a glass bottom sounds like a dream but is true.
