There are 12 museum galleries that are chronologically arranged uniquely that narrate the story of humanity with a beautiful artistic tint to it (no pun intended!). These beautiful art installations stretched across 12 chapters that shed light on some of the commonalities that have existed throughout the history of humanity itself.
Children's Museum
Emotions! The New Art Adventure Exhibition (only till May 2023)
Louvre Abu Dhabi’s Children’s Museum has a limited time fascinating exhibition running till May 2023, where your little ones get to experience artwork and immersive experiences, which enables them to explore and identify human emotions. The exhibition features 10 artworks and several interactive stations keen on familiarizing the children with how to identify emotions which is an essential milestone in every child’s development.

Louvre is the host to 4 temporary exhibitions annually. The exhibitions are a unique collaborative effort between Abu Dhabi and France. This partnership entails 13 French Museum partners, whom Louvre Abu Dhabi brings together for a unique artistic experience for visitors of the Middle East.

From Abu Dhabi
By Car
Get on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Highway (E12), which can be accessed from either Corniche Road, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Street or Zayed the First Street. Stay on E12 till you reach the Cultural District. Once here, take the first exit after the bridge to reach Louvre.
By Bus
Bus No - 94, average duration - 30 minutes, frequency - every 30 minutes.
Ticket Cost - AED 2.

From Dubai
By Car
Get on Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Road (E11) and take the Abu Dhabi-Shahama Road (E10). Switch to Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Highway( E12) and take the exit before Sheikh Khalifa Bridge.
If you are taking a taxi from Dubai, it is likely to cost you anything above AED 300.
By Bus
Take any bus from Dubai to Abu Dhabi Bus Stand. From here you can take bus number 94 to Louvre Abu Dhabi. Average Duration from Dubai to Abu Dhabi- 1 hour 30 minutes, frequency - hourly, ticket cost - AED 25.
You are requested to check the official website if any kind of maintenance work is going or not before booking the tickets to avoid any type of inconvenience during your visit.
What to Wear:
Anything of your comfort and casualness that will let you walk around easily and is modest and covered as revealing clothes is not a culture of the Middle East.

Note that the galleries are set at a relatively cool temperature to protect the installations. You might want to consider carrying a stole/scarf, especially for kids.
Note that photography is permitted throughout the Louvre. However, flash photography is not allowed in some areas with sensitive exhibits.
For security purposes, backpacks and luggage are not allowed inside. You can deposit your belongings in the cloakroom provided.
Food and water is strictly prohibited inside the galleries.
